ATV Club Celebrates Trail Opening
From MLA Jake Stewart: Today, May 12, represents a significant accomplishment for so many people. Upwards of 85 ATVs lined up in the Blackville Municipal Park this morning to witness the NB Trail (Former Rail Line) become a joint-use trail in which ATV owners would be granted official access for 3 seasons and 8 months per year. From Quarryville to Weaver Siding is now officially open.
You could feel the excitement, but hard work and cooperation made it all possible. As your MLA, I feel a great sense of pride as I promised that I would work on your behalf to make this happen. Thank you Minister Northrup for granting access to this trail. Thank you Premier Alward for supporting this idea. Congratulations Leroy Stewart and the Dungarvon ATV Club for all of your hard work.
This is a positive moment for recreation. This represents an opportunity to strengthen the partnerships between government and the NBATVF, and an indication that we are moving forward to secure greater potential in our tourism sector.
