Blackville honours figure skater

Bonard Muck’s hometown has recognized the well known figure skater for his accomplishments.

Blackville village councillor Jake Stewart and Southwest Miramichi MLA Rick Brewer met with Muck and presented him a keepsake plaque from the village and a New Brunswick Merit Award in the sports category.

He also had his named placed alongside Roy MaCrae and Kathy McCormack in the Blackville Municipal Park.

The figure skater is a former Canada Games medalist who is currently touring with the High School Musical ice show, in which he plays Ryan.

The ceremony for Muck was held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the park.
