Greater Blackville Resource Centre Open House on NB Day
The Board of Directors and volunteers of the Greater Blackville Resource Centre invite the general public to join them on NB Day, Monday August 5th, as they welcome the Premier to the centre for an official ribbon cutting ceremony and Open House.
This marks their first full year in operation and official membership to Food Banks Canada. Also in attendance will be Member of Parliament, Tilly O’Neill Gordon, Member of the Legislature, Jake Stewart and Interim Blackville Mayor, Matthew Sturgeon.
Join them for refreshments at 9 am and the ribbon cutting following at 9:30.
The Resource Centre will be open until 4 pm on NB Day for the public to drop in, learn more about what they do and shop the thrift store. They will also be having a yard sale, weather permitting. All proceeds go toward the Food Bank.
The Centre will also have a kiosk in the Blackville Municipal Park for the Official NB Day celebrations where they will have water, Mr Freezies, and healthy snacks for sale, as well as be providing information on their services and the new community garden.
